Squared up
I will be participating, with three illustrations, in Square, an initiative of No.68 and curated by artist and designer Pierre Portelli. The aim of this project is to present a collective exhibition of square artworks from a diverse spectrum of artists, therefore creating one large collection of exquisite art, encompassing both the established names as well as the innovative young creatives promising an interesting mix of styles. The only restriction imposed was that all exhibited work had to be 10 x 10 inches …. Square!
The exhibition will be open to the general public between 4th April & 19th April at No.68, St.Lucy Street, Valletta.
The redesign of The Times of Malta newspapers
The Times and The Sunday Times of Malta, published by Allied Newspapers are Malta's main newspapers boasting the largest circulation for decades. In order to ensure good legibility and easy navigation through the generousy sized papers, I developed a new graphic architecture. This task was the starting point for redesigning the entire newspapers, sections and supplements including new typography, customised to include Maltese glyphs as well as a redesign of the iconic mastheads.
